Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers anyone who creates an account or uses TCGRadius (“we,” “us”). TCGRadius is currently an independent, early-stage project based in Ontario, Canada, and is governed by that jurisdiction — see Terms of Service for the legal details.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — your email, display name, and password (handled by our authentication provider; we never see or store your password ourselves).
• Profile details — an optional bio and profile photo, and your verification status (email, phone, ID) if you complete verification.
• Location— a home location and search radius you set yourself, either typed as an approximate area/address or captured once via your device’s geolocation. We never store or show a live/continuous location.
• Listings and want-lists — the cards you list as available or wanted, their condition/grading, asking price or value, and any photos you attach.
• Messages — the content of conversations you have with other users through the app.
• Trade and review records — what you record as traded, confirmations, and any ratings/reviews you give or receive.
• Local preferences— your chosen theme and display currency, stored only in your browser’s local storage on your own device. This is not a tracking cookie and is never sent to us.
• Basic technical logs — standard server request logs (e.g. timestamps, error details) used only for debugging and keeping the service running, not for tracking or advertising.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or cookies of any kind. The only browser storage we use is local storage for your own display preferences, which never leaves your device.

3. How we use it

We use the information above to:

• Show you listings, matches, and trades near your chosen location and radius.
• Let you message, make offers to, and record trades with other users.
• Estimate condition-adjusted market prices for raw cards you list.
• Compute your own personal insights (binder value, trade history, top sets) — visible only to you.
• Maintain the trust & safety systems: ratings, reviews, and reports.
• Operate, secure, and improve the app.

4. What other users can see

Your display name, bio, profile photo, verification badges, rating, review count, and trade count are public and visible to anyone. Your listings and want-list are visible to anyone browsing or viewing your profile. Your approximate distance from another user may be shown, but never your exact address or coordinates.

Messages you send are only visible to you and the other participant in that specific conversation — never to other users, and never used for advertising.

5. Third-party services we rely on

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the app, rather than building everything ourselves:

• Supabase— handles authentication, our database, and file storage (photos you upload). Your data is hosted on Supabase’s infrastructure under their own security practices.
• TCGplayer— the source of the market pricing data used to estimate card values. We only read public pricing data from them; we don’t send them any of your personal information.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or advertisers. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or advertising services.

6. Data retention & account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time. When you do, your profile, listings, and messages are removed. Confirmed trades and reviews involving other users may be retained in an anonymized form, so deleting your account doesn’t unfairly erase another user’s legitimate trade history or reviews.

7. Children’s privacy

TCGRadius is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we’ll remove it.

8. Your rights & choices

You can, at any time:

• Access or update your profile information directly from Settings.
• Change or clear your saved home location and search radius.
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.

9. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including relying on our infrastructure provider’s access controls and encryption in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we don’t take shortcuts with your data.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
