Frequently asked questions

Everything about listing, matching, trading, and staying safe on TCGRadius.

Getting started

How do I set up my account?
Sign up, then finish onboarding by setting a display name and your home location. Your location is used to find trades near you — it's never shown as a precise address to anyone else, only as an approximate distance.
What does “near you” mean?
You set a search radius (a few km up to 200 km) from your saved home location. Browse, Matches, and watch alerts all use that radius by default, and you can change it anytime from Settings.
Do I need to share my exact address?
No. You can type an approximate area (like a city or neighborhood) instead of a full street address, or use “Use my location” for a one-time precise point that's still only ever shown to others as an approximate distance.

Listings & your binder

What's the difference between Have and Want?
A Have listing is a card you're offering to trade away. A Want listing is a card you're looking for. Your binder shows both lists, and other people can see them on your profile too.
How is a raw card's price estimated?
Market prices come from real sales data and get adjusted down by condition — Near Mint down to Damaged. See how we price different conditions for the exact breakdown.
How is a graded slab priced?
We don't auto-estimate slab values — a PSA 10 and a raw Near Mint card aren't worth the same, and we'd rather ask than guess. When you list a graded card, you state what you believe it's worth. See how to price a graded card for guidance on finding a fair number.
Can I pause a listing instead of deleting it?
Yes. Pausing hides it from everyone else but keeps it saved under your profile, ready to reactivate later. Removing it is permanent — you'd need to list it again from scratch.
What currency are prices shown in?
Whatever you pick from the currency switcher — prices are stored in USD internally and converted for display, so switching currency never changes the actual value of a listing or trade.

Matching

What's a two-way match?
A two-way match is when you have a card someone else wants, and they have a card you want — a trade that can close with no cash needed on either side. These are surfaced first because they're the cleanest trades to make.
What are the other match types?
“You want” matches show listings from people who have a card on your want-list. “They want” matches show people nearby who want a card that's in your binder. Either can turn into a trade — they just need one side to add cash or another card to balance it.

Messaging & offers

How do I send an offer?
Open a listing and use Send Offer — it starts with a suggested fair trade, but you can customize which cards or cash go into it before sending. You'll always see a confirmation showing exactly what you're about to send.
Are messages delivered in real time?
Yes — new messages show up for the other person within about a second, no refreshing needed.
What are the quick-reply pills for?
On a brand-new conversation, tapping one just fills in the message box with a common opener (like asking if something's still available) — it never sends on its own, so you can edit it first.

Trades & reviews

How do I record a trade?
From the conversation with the person you traded with, record what was exchanged — cards, cash, or both, including graded slabs. The other person confirms it from their Trades page.
Can I edit a trade after recording it?
Yes, as long as the other person hasn't confirmed it yet. Once they confirm, it's locked in.
What if we disagree on what happened?
Either side can reject a trade before both people confirm it — rejecting removes it entirely rather than leaving a bad record. If something more serious happened, you can report the conversation.
How do I get reviews?
Once a trade is confirmed by both people, you can each rate and review one another. Reviews are always tied to a real confirmed trade, not just a conversation, so your rating reflects people you've actually traded with.

Closing a listing

What happens when I close a listing?
You can close it because you traded it away (recording the trade in the same step), or close it without a trade if the deal fell through or you sold it elsewhere. Either way, every conversation about that listing gets archived for everyone involved.
Can I get an archived conversation back?
Yes — archiving only affects your own inbox, and you can move any conversation back out of the archive at any time. Closing a listing does archive its conversations for both people and stops new messages being sent, but the history stays readable and restorable.

Staying safe

Where should I meet up?
Somewhere public and well-lit — a local game store, a mall, a coffee shop. Bring a friend if you can, and trust your judgment if anything feels off.
Should I check someone's rating first?
Yes — ratings and reviews are visible on every profile before you agree to meet, and they're all tied to real confirmed trades, not just claims.
How do I report someone?
You can report a conversation or a trade directly from within it. We look into every report and take action on repeat or serious issues.

Account & data

Can I follow other traders?
Yes — following someone surfaces their new listings so you don't have to keep checking back manually.
What are watch alerts?
Add a card to your watch list and we'll tell you when it comes up for trade near you. Watch alerts are part of Pro; anyone can still browse and search for the card themselves.
What's in Insights?
A personal snapshot of your own binder's market value, your trade history, and your most-traded sets — visible only to you.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, anytime — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

TCGRadius Pro

Can I cancel Pro whenever I want?
Yes — cancel from the billing portal in one click, and Pro keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for. Nothing is deleted when it lapses: your listings, trades, and binder stay exactly as they are.
What happens to my listings if I stop paying?
They stay live. The free tier allows 20 active listings, so if you're above that when Pro ends you choose which ones stay active — none of them are removed for you.

About TCGRadius

Is TCGRadius free?
The part that matters is, and stays that way: listing, matching, messaging, and recording trades cost nothing, with up to 20 active listings. TCGRadius Pro is an optional subscription that adds alerts, deeper insights, and power tools on top — it doesn't take anything away from the free tier.
Does TCGRadius handle payments or shipping?
No — we're a tool for finding people to trade with and keeping track of what you agreed to. Every trade happens directly, in person, between the two of you.
